The square shank is compatible with all standard tap handles or tap wrenches and the taper style is designed for gradual starts while cutting threads. Engineered for durability, our MILWAUKEE® Straight Flute Plug Taps are designed for cutting threads in the most common metal applications including brass, aluminum, mild steel, and more. For best results, use Taper Taps with cutting fluid.
